My SSID is called "The Matrix" I only leave it visible because I want people to try and hack my setup.

Hmm, sounds more like packet poss leading to a crash on the LAN. When router crash, its instant most of the time. Sounds more like a signal level issue on your modem. Has your ISP checked those out?

I have been having the same problem.  When I look at the device display on the router, it says I'm dropping packets.  I can't 192 into it from any my wireless comp, but I will try to hardline into it tonight.  All I do is reset it and its fine.  I am also going to upgrade to 1.23NA tonight and see if it takes care of it.....

Coming back to thank all the people who tried to help me here!! ;) I found out what was wrong and fix it!! The good news is the router is fine!!The bad news is I had a very bad virus that crashed the router and the cable modem.Once I reformatted my two PC's the router ran great!!! I have 1.23NA installed.I found this because the cable company tested my hardware in front of me and it was fine. They told me it most be software slowing down and crashing hardware. So I did a test and just put the cable modem on my xbox 360 for 12 hours and it ran fine!!

Glad you found the issue...sorry it was a virus...did you happen to ketch the name of the virus? Did you have any anti virus software running? Most programs should ketch stuff like that. Glad it's been resolved.

While I can't say I have never seen that, I know its incredible rare. Sounds like you had a infection connecting your PC to a botnet or something along those lines. Ouch. Glad it all worked out.
