Hi Everyone,
I have a D-Link DIR-655 which I bought on recommendation from a highly knowledgeable friend who owns one and reports that it operates flawlessly. So far, I am generally happy with everything about this router--setup, options, signal strength, DDNS, etc.
As of late, however, I am constantly running into a problem where all my laptops (1 MacBook, 2 MacBook Pro) have full wireless signal, but no traffic passing to or from the Internet. I have to go to the device and power cycle it to get it to come back up.
My network consists of the 3 previously mentioned Mac laptops connected wirelessly, a wireless printer, Wii via wireless, Roku via ethernet cable, and a FreeBSD machine via ethernet cable. As far as I can tell, when the problem appears none of these devices can get to the Internet. I need to verify for sure on the wired connections, though.
On the WAN side is a Motorola Surfboard 6120.
Thanks for any help you can offer, and please let me know what info I can provide to assist in the troubleshooting. I am not home at the moment to be able to provide the info, but will be there in a few hours.
Thanks!
Jim
