Funny you should meantion that. I was gone all weekend and came home and notice it today when I got up. WTF over? Didn't notice any probs though. I was still able to connect to internet and download stuff.
I did check the modem logs and saw several warnings and critical messages and notice the time online and been reset, was online for 30 mins approx.

No, blue light is good. Means your bonding on all 3 channel. Have you don't any speedtest since then?

No haven't...haven't had a need to. I guess I will check this when I get home in a couple of hours then. So the receive blue light is a good thing then. Kewl beans.

So the blue light isn't blinking, just just on steady. I did a speed test. I'm just maxing out at 10Mb for what I'm paying for. I just played some MP on Reach and was doing just fine.

Hmmm, I guess Cable One just doesnt have the oomph. Cable is all about how many people are on your node, and the resources of that node. The headend is robost, the weakness for most ISP is getting that speed to the customer. Channel bonding closes that bottleneck that unleashes alot of unused potential. The problem comes from ISP that upgrade to DOCSIS 3 but don't invest as much into their infrastructure to support that new cability.  Its like if you have Ferrari engine, and a VW tranmission, and then upgrade to a Ferrari transmission, your speed takes off. But if you have a VW engine..and upgrade to a Ferrari transmission..well yea. There probably waiting though. You will take off eventually. As soon as they start overing a 50Mb+ package, you will probably see your speeds doable without paying a dime.

So if I get the Blue light does it mean my ISP supports DOCSIS 3? not really right? I really don't like Voip modems either. That's one of the main reason I switched to vonage to get a different modem without voip. But now I don't want to purchase the SB6120 since I got this one. I did a speed test and it went pretty well. Better than way before. I don't like my ping Ping are mean! although 19 is great. Furry is your modem interface like greenish? My logs don't move at all it still has logs from yesterday. Still trying to figure how to read 3 channel bondings.

Will have to see, I'm currently on there Premium package with 10Mb down and 1Mb up. The highest they go right now is there "Ultra" package with 12Mb down and 1.5Mb up. 
I'm happy with what I got now. Knowing that the system here at the house is ready for more and upgraded to handle the future, I'm content for now. I live on a street east of the city, 15 mins, burbs and not a lot of people here, small neighborhood. I think I was the first one to get cable Internet back in 03 when they finally got it in place. I was using Satellite from 01-03

My modems web page is an Olive drab green.  Ya think they could have spent just a tad bit more time and picked a better color.

I think it is sapposed to match the green and blue lights of the modem. So yea, its ugly, but as far as informative and upgradable, the Motorola firmware from the 5101 and up has been rock solid. Not like the crap Arris puts out. Those things have to be patched like a old country screen door.

What's the best firmware for the SBV6220? I am assuming the SB6120 and the SBV6220 use the same firmware? Guys I ask if my router uses bonding channels does it means my ISP support DOCSIS 3?

Well that gets complex. First I won't know what is the "best" firmware for you without doing alot of heavy research. Not only is it a ISP I am not familar with, and a modem I am not familar with, but I don't know at which state of DOCSIS 3.0 support they are at.

And that takes us to your next question. In short, partly. Its like asking if a router is N. It could be N draft. It could be N NIMO, dual band, 2.4 vs 5ghz, channel width, and so on. With DOCSIS 3.0, theres alot of standardsthat you must meet to be considered DOCSIS 3.0. Channel bonding is one of them, and "usually" the last one they upgrade for, because its one of the more expensive requirements.

So channel bonding is never bad, and usually very good, but if it doesn't have the supporting technology behind it, its not giving the same "wow" factor behind it that some are getting. And where that stems from is to get pay off for their investment, alot of ISP start offering packages that make use of that technology at a higher price. But to make it work, their entire network (atleast around the area they are offering it) must be fully upgraded for them to get anywhere near the levels they are offering. And because the network is upgraded waaaaay before it is saturated with users using the technology, you have a surplus of bandwidth not being used in alot of neighborhood. Make sense? I know its confused. Even I don't understand it 100% yet. Slowly learning.

It makes sense, My ISP really is lacking speed right now (talking about other users over at the DSLreport) there are just so many complaints talking about slow speeds it is crazy. I guess my ISP needs to step up there game and make things right. Once again thanks.

Ok, perhaps you can help me Furry. Trying to install my old HP printer on my brothers network and I am running into some problems.

Printer: HP Photosmart C6200 series
Model: CC988A
S/N# MY76JC50G50506

Router: DIR-628
Hardware Version: A1

Wired via ethernet to router.

Network:
A.Wireless desktop(Home built), XP SP3, D-link DWL-AG530
B.Acer Aspire 4315 wireless laptop. XP SP3

Setup: I had the printer installed before using the CD but had to install the full suite to get it to pick up the printer. But that was with the desktop wired to router, and printer wired to router.

Info: I can ping the router and access its gateway. I tried to run the basic driver found here but couldnt find the printer. Tried Windows Printer installer, but couldn't see the printer. I tried putting the printer in the DMZ and manually add a printer TCP driver, but couldnt find the .ini to attached. I tried to use Window Update, but couldnt find it via that way. I made sure UPnP was on the printer and the router. Any thoughts? I dont want to install the full suite again, its just cloggs up the PC. I could go wired with the desktop, or should I just go USB from printer to desktop and share it. Any ideas?
