As for ATI vs Nvida..hmm. I was gun ho ATI for a while, but this last 5770 I had has changed my mind. I have had so many issues with its drivers that I am starting to think to go Nvida next time. The fact that the installer for Nvida has a option for a clean uninstall is such a big deal for me, and don't know why ATI couldn't get there heads out their bums to attach that option to their install/uninstall wizard long ago. Have you looked at the recommended uninstall process latly? Its litterly like 15 steps.
Then again, ATI has OpenCL, which I need to read up on, but its something Nvida users seem to be jealous of. But then there is the change at the corporate level AMD made towards ATI, and I wonder how that going to effect support of products going down the line. Who knows, they both make great cards, and they both have put out some bad cards. I think next build I am going to try out Nvida just to compare.
