UVERSE 2WIRE 3800HGV-B and NAT problems
« on: October 03, 2010, 05:49:43 PM »

OK moved from cable to DSL and have to issues that I can't solve.

1) I use VUZE or p2p and I cannot get out of this darn firewall problem after forwarding ports on both and DMZ+ mode on RG
I hear BRIDGE mode is the solution but after many searches find that it cannot be done. Can it?!
Of course I want to use the 802.11N 1 gig features of the 655 and use the RG as only a modem. I tried to forward the Vuze ports TCP UDP on both.... No luck. Put RG in DMZ mode..... Nope
Is there a walk thru setup for DUMMIES like me who are convused by two routers and the problems they create!?
2) Security Camera DVR used to work on iphone but I can only get it to work on my Wifi network! Tried static DHCP and have dyndns setup for the true IP that the RG is showing.  This is so frustrating I am thinking that the only way is to bypass the benefits of the 655 and go simply!!!

HELP PLEASE.......  ???

Ok I am replying on my own fix to item 2 dvr camera

I plugged directly in to the LAN of the RG and forwarded the media ports 80 and 9000
iphone needed 18000

Works again. These systems don't work at all with two routers and/or they don't support it.

Now if anyone can help me get thru the firewall problem from p2p connections?
