How to unblock Windows Update

So I've been playing with the website filtering, trying to lock down some systems so they can only view sites that are allowed. It works well but when I go to Windows update it gets half way and then produces an error. I looked through the html and added the only two urls that are there (rcea.org and microsoft.com).

Has anyone been able to get windows update to work with the web filtering enabled? Thanks for any assistance.
