Vote for AV Server SRT subtitles support!
« on: November 09, 2010, 02:55:41 AM »

I want the AV Server to support SRT subtitles for my MP4/MKV files.

Please, vote if you need this feature, too. DLink MUST include this in the next firmware!!!

Thank you.

It is a nice to have feature.  However, you can install other Media Server, as I posted in other topic.

I also vote for subtitle support in the AV server.  In some contries all movies are shown in original version with subtitles.  So as long as we don't have subtitle support in the AV server i'll be using PS3Media Server.

On the other hand i would like to congratulate DLink that they are still investing in the development of products sold a long time ago!

Just wanted to add that people in more than 40 countries are looking to movies with subtitles!!!
So D-Link, check out this page on Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subtitle_(captioning)#Subtitles_vs._dubbing_and_lectoring

This should convince you!

The lack of subtitle support is the only reason why i don't use the uPNP AV server.  I'm using PS3 Media Server (fantastic product!) running on my desktop to stream to my PS3.

Just add subtitle support to the DNS-323 and it covers ALL my requirements.
