If i put off my computer....I can use the WOL with my iphone on 3G, laptop or other till 5 minutes and work perfectly.. but after around 5 minutes..... the WOL with internet or 3G doesn't work....

Why after few minutes.. my WOL on internet  or 3G doesn't work ?????

1. Login the router and go to Virtual Server page.
2. Just fill the table with port 9 and route to IP 192.168.0.255 and check the box for activation.
3. If you press Save settings now, you will get an error.
4. What I do is type "javascript:mf.submit()" at the address bar.
5. This will bypass the checking function of javascript and directly save the form.
6. Now the settings should be saved and working.

Use at your own risk. Consumer grade routers do not usually enable WOL, the Dlink-655 has a security bug that allow bypassing the hjava script. I no longer use the DIR but this worked fine for me when it did. The router will flush drp client list after few minutes, thats why it works and than doesn't. hope it helps

Than very likely they closed that security bug. 1.21 firmware works fine.

The suggestion of setting all port 9 to 192.168.0.255 is a bad idea. If one computer sends anything to port 9 it gets broadcast to the entire network causing a lot of unnecessary traffic on your local network. Your notebook is the issue with the WOL. If you disable UPNP updates on the router that should take care of the issue. The PC goes through its settings every 5 minutes and then sends the UPNP commands to other devices as it deems necessary. Something is up with your PC's WOL settings that is disabling the WOL.
