Dir-655 with pppoa internet service

i have a dir-655 but i cant get it working on the setup screen, i dont see an option for pppoa internet service, is this supported by the router? and if so what settings do i choose in the setup process for "internet connection type" and the field says " My internet connection is"

PPPoA requires a phone line in the device to dial, lacking this the DIR-655 can not do PPPoA.  Normally the solution is to have your DSL modem do bridging so you can dial PPPoE to the modem and the modem takes those credentials and dial PPPoA with them.

Do you have Qwest? actiontec? if so , call our tech support line any we may be able to perform an alternate configuration, that will configure the router as a wireless switch ( disables our DHCP) and other steps that will allow the router to semi function. But as Fatman stated Dlink routers do not support the PPPoA. so their are several ways to set this up.
