Is it possible to upgrade firmware from 1.1 if you've got a A1 hardware platform?

My router has gotten to the point where it gets slower and slower until I powercycle, then everything is good for a while (like a day).

I know this is an older unit, but I was wondering if any of the other firmware would be compatible.
