Same issue here, I moved the printer to two different computers and tried many network drivers all to figure out that what changed was the router firmware!
There must be somekind of workaround...

Erik.
I have no such issue with my hp wireless printer; it works as before. The new firmware has been up and working for over a week now...  Al

It's the final version that shouldn't allow for downgrade. It's based off the same SDK as the 4500, 628 and the 855. The beta may allow for downgrade but, I'm fairly sure the final will not.

Logical question to this: when will the final be released?

So let me see if I follow this....  I have the "original" final 1.20 and not the beta 1.20 so I should not be able to downgrade.  So if I upgrade to the Beta 1.20 I can downgrade.  So after I get the "Final" final 1.20, can I downgrade to the beta 1.20 and then downgrade???   ;D

Cheers!

It looks like I am in a pickle.

My connections (two computers) don't work with version 1.11.  So what do I do?

I am assuming that 1.20 has the same upgrades as 1.11.  If i upgrade to 1.20 and if the connections do not work, since I cannot go back to 1.10 WTF do I do?

Ok, here is my problem :'(

I bought the dir-655 to give more power to my wireless network.

Problem is that the connection drops all the time (same problem alsmost everyone has?).

Could someone please tell what to do? Shall i downgrade to a previous firmware? or upgrade to 1.20 with the knowledge i can't get back. My current firmware is 1.11. Hardware version is A3.

Please help :-\

I have the same version and same Firmware as you (A3), and I am not experiencing any dropped connections while streaming television or radio to my media extender.  Do you suppose this might be a particular issue with your other devices on the network, or a faulty router?

I used to have similar problems when running mixed g/n mode.  Since switching to n only and using a different router for g, the problem has gone away.

Oh, ok it's beta. I don't do beta firmware for the simple fact it's not supported if your router takes a s**t on ya!!!

Well, my warranty has expired, so I wont use beta firmware without having a significant reason. Just what does this beta firmware bring to the party that the official release doesn't have? If all it does is update some issues (which I have none) and doesn't add any more usability, I will pass.
As for anyone having dropped connections, I suggest replacing the router, as I have no problems with my 655 what so ever since purchase and setup.
Also, XP and Vista cannot share printers for anyone having printer issues. Reason is, Vista doesn't allow XP to join the the workgrop or circle as it may be.
