USB Port (Revisited)
« on: September 05, 2008, 09:19:40 AM »

I found a use for the USB port on the back of the router.  I have a laptop cooler fan that runs via a USB cable.  I plugged it into the back of the router and the fans spun, so I put the pad under the router because it always runs warm.  This setup seems to be working real well.

Now that sound like a good use of the USB port.  I would suggest plugging in one of the USB keyboard lights they sell too, but the light from the LEDs already is blinding enough.

Sweet. I'm now using the USB port to charge my Motorola cellphone.  That's one less power adaptor plugged in the wall.

I can never get one to time properly with Pink Floyd though!  Might be time for someone to write some fun scripts to pass traffic at the correct moments for a proper light show.

And with that insightful comment I nominate this thread for closure, we have run out of meaningful things to say it seems.

Goes without saying that you should refer to the BETA section and look into the SharePort utility with the BETA firmware 1.21

just my 2 cents...
