Yes, that is how I could tell it was working. The DIR-825 would assign a IPV6 address under 2.03NA(automatically) and NOT under 2.05NA, no settings were changed on the PC, still to this day.
2 PC's were used for testing, Windows 7, 64 bit and Windows ME, 32 bit, both with IPV6 installed.
For browsers when I was getting a "404, page not found" error on the DIR-825, I tried Firefox, IE 8/9 and Chrome. They would load ALL pages from the DIR-825, except IPV6 setup, clicking on IPV6 setup would always give a "page not found error" with firmware 2.05NA, but NO problems with firmware 2.03NA. In the above posts, 1 person confirmed the page would NOT load for him either.
2 different network cards, 1 D-link PCI express (win 7 PC) and 1 Intel on the ME machine. I even tried turning the speed down from Gigabit to 100Mbps and even 10Mbps on both machines. Still had problems with 2.05NA. The wire distance is very short for the 2 machines and everything works great under 2.03NA, even with 100' runs and gigabit speeds on other machines besides for my test machines.
I will try doing full resets before and after the firmware install this weekend and see if it works, even though after having to downgrade my old Dir-655 to get it to work, I am 99% sure that I did that for the Dir-825. The only thing I had NOT done was the 30/30/30 thing.
Resetting all of the settings from scratch in the DIR-825 is not a problem, I can do most of it from memory!
Too bad, the DIR-825 is some nice hardware, but has nowhere near the range of the DIR-655, so I also have to run a WAP54G on a 100' cable to get coverage on the otherside of my house. The DIR-655 covered this by itself. If Actiontec comes out with an "N" router, IPV6 and Gigabit ethernet...... I will be in heaven, they too have good range like the DIR-655 did!
I will try Saturday, but my hopes have kind of diminished if the 30/30/30 thing don't work for D-link routers.
