FTP and Itunes

Is it possible to get itunes to see me NAS while i have it connected via dns? I mapped it under My Computer through dlinkddns straight to my NAS. It shows up on my itunes when im connected within my own LAN network. Wondering if i can get it to do the same at a remote location via dns service?
