If the laptop is connecting, from a command prompt (start - run -cmd), use the ipconfig /all command and make sure everything is normal. Also, try pinging the gateway address, 192.168.0.1 (stock configuration). It's likely an ip resolution issue versus any kind of security/setting issue, since it's making a valid connection. Once you've verified the internet is active on other sources, check that your ip address is set to auto assign in the tcp/ip properties (if DCHP is turned on in the router), or assign the laptop one manually in the 192.168.0.XXX range and 255.255.255.0 subnet with 192.168.0.1 as the gateway and DNS (if everything is in stock configuration).
