Signal Drops after upgrade to 1.21
« on: October 14, 2008, 06:28:48 PM »

Frequent Signal Drops have become a common phenomenon after upgrade to 1.21. For the first month after the upgrade everything was fine . 130 mbps steady connection, no signal drops. However now its a different story . The connection has to drop once every 30 mins and I am worried whether the frequency of drops would increase in the near future. I am using a Intel 4965 agn card (Dell XPS) with my Dir 655. Please help.

Have you tried changing to Wireless Channel on the router? I disabled the channel autoscan feature and hard coded my channel to 2. If there are not alot of APs in your area, I suggest selecting channel 1, 6, or 11.
