Just FYI-
Wirleless NICs do not support jumbo frames. In fact, you can see the size of each frame by going into your router's wireless setup and look at the RTS threshold. Usually it's 2376 bytes. It's an 802.11 standard. Meaning the wireless standard would have to be modified to support anything larger. If you read between the lines, a wireless frame is larger than a standard ethernet frame, but far below a 9000 byte frame.
Wired NICs, on the other hand, can support jumbo frames if the support the standard. Most (but not all) Intel gigabit nics support Jumbo Frames. Your Pro/1000 might, but it depends on which model .. e.g. PRO1000ML/PL/GL/MT .. etc.
