no 5.1 audio in Media Center mode?
« on: January 16, 2009, 10:10:18 PM »

Has anyone been able to get 5.1 audio in Media Center mode? I use an HDMI cable to send audio and video to a Yamaha receiver. I've got video resolution set to "AUTO", and audio output set to "5.1 channel surround". When I open an .avi with Dolby 5.1 audio, the receiver says it's only receiving a stereo signal - and of course, I only hear stereo.

Am I the only guy dumb enough to be using this device in Media Center mode? No .mkv, no 5.1, and my .avi files quit randomly. It's too big to even make a good paperweight.
