FTP restricted to folder
« on: January 17, 2009, 12:18:40 PM »

I want to set up FTP access so that the user can R/W the folder location and every folder contained within. When I create a user it seems to be restricted to the folder in the Path and can only read but not write to other folders. How do I create a user with r/w access to multiple folders?

When you log into the FTP with you user if you have R/W permissions you should be able to create folder, go into the folders, and R/W more files to these folders with no problem.

What firmware version are you running?

Is your FTP set to the root or is the folder you have your FTP set on to the root? Is the FTP folder already a few subdirectories down?

I am having the same issue.

I have:
created a folder on the root level
Created a group / users with R/W access to said folder in the FTP settings

I can log on and connect to the FTP server but I cannot write files to it.

If I make the folder the Root folder the everything works but I want to restrict access to just one folder.

I am running firmware 1.01
