Windows 7 Internet downloads stall
« on: March 30, 2011, 09:53:19 PM »

Hi,

Odd issue that I and seemingly many others are seeing with Windows 7 and downloads larger than a few MB.....  Here it happens mostly on my wireless clients, and is very noticable with large downloads from Microsoft.com, but is not limited to the Microsoft site....  www.testmy.net speed tests among many others stalls as well....

They begin normally, but at some point, they just stall.....My Network Meter Widget shows the download just goes to zero speed....  There are a bunch of hits on Google about the subject, but no concrete answer....

Thought I would post in here....

Hi Sammydad1,

What is your Motherboard Brand, Model Number? Is this a Wired or Wireless Computer? Onboard Ethernet Connection?

Hi Sammydad1,

What is the Onboard Brand of Ethernet Port / Nic that is being used? I am asking questions, because I see / know the problem because I dual-boot my computers between Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 3 and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit with Service Pack 1 installed.

I don't what to influence your answer, before I tell you what the problem is, and just having you agree.

But I will tell you, the problem is not D-Link or the Router and it isn't IP6V protocol.
