Hello everybody.
As I didn't find a category corresponding to my product I try to post here.
I use an adsl router DSL-320B to connect my Linux server (Fedora 12) to the web.
I noticed in my logs that it was renewing its ip about every 30 s :
Apr 1 11:45:28 lnxgw dhclient[31389]: DHCPREQUEST on eth1 to 10.0.0.254 port 67
Apr 1 11:45:28 lnxgw dhclient[31389]: DHCPACK from 10.0.0.254
Apr 1 11:45:28 lnxgw dhclient[31389]: bound to 10.0.0.1 -- renewal in 32 seconds.
Apr 1 11:46:00 lnxgw dhclient[31389]: DHCPREQUEST on eth1 to 10.0.0.254 port 67
Apr 1 11:46:00 lnxgw dhclient[31389]: DHCPACK from 10.0.0.254
Apr 1 11:46:00 lnxgw dhclient[31389]: bound to 10.0.0.1 -- renewal in 27 seconds.
Apr 1 11:46:27 lnxgw dhclient[31389]: DHCPREQUEST on eth1 to 10.0.0.254 port 67
Apr 1 11:46:27 lnxgw dhclient[31389]: DHCPACK from 10.0.0.254
Apr 1 11:46:27 lnxgw dhclient[31389]: bound to 10.0.0.1 -- renewal in 29 seconds.
As each time a DHCPREQUEST is send it takes a little time, I wanted to change the DHCP lease time of my modem to something like 600 s.
I've found the right place to do it in the SETUP/Lan Setup entry of the web interface where I find the "DHCP Lease time" field which is set to 60 seconds. But when I change the value and try to apply settings by clicking the button, nothing happens and the value isn't set. If I change of screen and come back to this one, the lease time is always set to 60 s.
Is this a bug in the firmware of the modem and does someone had this problem before ?
