I tyred everything to use my brand new dns-321 with my MAC and it didn't worked then I tried to connect it to a PC to check if I was doing something wrong but I was able to view the unit at Windows but the "Configuration" Button isn't working can you help me?

Are you connecting the DNS directly to your PC/MAC? The DNS will not work if directly connected to your PC or MAC.  You must connect the unit to your network through a port on a router or switch.

Im using a DIR-615 router and if I type 192.168.0.32 at Firefox or Safari it takes some time and I recieve a Time Out message. There is any way to check if the unit is OK? There is any other way to connect at MAC OS?

Are you 100% sure you have the correct IP address?

1. Login to the DIR-615 web-GUI
2. Go under Setup -> Network Settings
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you should see all of the IP addresses in use
4. From here you should be able to validate which IP address belongs to the DNS-321

Incredible you solve my problem... I was following Dlink manual and it says that if does not receive a DHCP assigned IP address by default it would be 192.168.0.32 but even after Reseting the unit my IP address was a different address.

I'm glad I was able to help.

Yes, you should be able to map your DNS-321 to your MAC so the drive is available following boot.  I know how to do this on a PC, but am not too familiar with the MAC OS. From what little I know you have to do the following:

• Go -> Connect to Server
• For the server address, enter:  smb://[put_your_ip_address_here]/Volume_1

If this doesn't work or your need additional help, search on Google for mapping a networked drive on a MAC.
