OK im sure there are tons of these threads on this forum but I have done everything most of them say and nothing works for me! I can pass the Xbox live test conection and I connect to xbox live but then it disconnects quickly... I have no idea whats going on. I have tried lots of different types of settings, even DMZ.  I dont know what else to do.

What ISP service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand alone or built in router?

Check out the DGL-4500 forum and the gaming and gamefuel sticky for XBL. The interface is different however the data works just the same for these routers.

I have Comcast and its a Scientific Atlanta 2100 modem (cable modem)

I tried everything in that post and still it does the same thing, it connects and disconnects from xbox live.

I have an A4 and it came with 1.32 firmware and it was pretty bad. Wireless would drop in and out. Tried 1.33 and it worked for awhile then it to started crapping out. So I downgraded to 1.21 and all my problems have melted away.

Also, I game alot on my PS3 and Xbox 360. No problems to speak of.

Yes, I have tried all the firmwares including the 1.35NA and its still the same.

I presume gaming works well when direct to the ISP modem?
Did you set up DHCP (static) reserved IP addresses for your xbox on the router and make sure the xbox is set for Auto Obtain in networking?
Make sure advanced DNS is off.
Ensure DNS relay is on.
Setup QoS correctly?
Maybe someone on here can take a look at your settings and check your router.

Yea im pretty sure i tried all that, I put the static IP on the Xbox but I havent put DHCP on the router for the xbox

Ya you need to put the DHCP (Static) reserved IP address on the router, not the xbox. Set all the other options up on the router as well. Make sure the xbox is set for Automatic.

So i changed the network cable just to see if it had something to do with the cable and now it works ;/ that's weird im going to have to use different cables. I guess the xbox dosnt like that cable because it works just fine with the computers
