DCS-5300 Reboots

Have several DCS-5300 cameras (firmware 1.06) and randomly the cameras will reboot.

D-Link says to set to factory default, but that is not physically possible.

Although the web interface has an option to restore the factory defaults, you can also perform this procedure manually if you are unable to access the web interface:

  • Insert the paperclip or other tool and press on the button continuously.
  • Wait for the LED on the front of the camera to blink red and green and hold the button through two cycles of
    blinking (about 5-7 seconds.)
  • Withdraw the tool after the second cycle of the LED blinking and a factory restore has been completed.
