i wasn't aware of that, i'm not a big fan of wireless.
but now i know.
it's a good day when you learn something new.
newegg has the 4500 for 139.99 with free shipping.
i'll have to give it some thought, don't think i would be gaining anything by getting it.

Might find some used ones or cheaper on amazon or ebay. If you only have 2 PCs connected at the moment and don't do much gaming, then what you have will keep you doing for a while.

As of right now my modem is connected to the 4100 router WAN port and with the 4 LAN ports I have my 2 computers connected and a ethernet cable going to my roomates room. I don't know exactly how he's setup, but he has his computer and he also has a wireless router conneted to it for 3 other people to connect to.

Got the 4500 yesterday. At first it wouldn't work, the setup program kept giving me a message that it couldn't find it. So i pushed the reset button to restore factory settings and it found it right away.
Works good, i disabled the wireless feature since i don't use it.
In reality i spent 64.00 just to have the SB6120 modem link LED blinking blue instead of amber.
Oh well, i've done stupider things in my life. But am happy i did it.
Guess i'll move over to the 4500 forum from now on.
Thanks for all the feedback i've received here.

Ya man I acutally live in the Dlink servers. I get fed and they keep me warm. LOL. I'm on here when i can be.

Sometimes there are times when the servers are down. They were earlier today. Not sure why. Might be external users trying to do bad things. Been some spam here and there. Trying to keep it out. LOL.
Don't worry, things are still going. If it's down by chance, check with a different PC or device like a smart phone. If it's down there then give it some time. They get it back up pretty fast.
