DNS320 MAC OS File problem
« on: July 01, 2011, 01:37:37 AM »

Hi,

I have just purchased DNS320 and using with Mac OS 10.6.

I have enable AFP in the DNS and also installed firmware 2.0. My connection to the device is via AFP and I also found its showing up separately as a windows server via bonjour.

Every small file that is on the drive is listing up as a file size of exactly 268.4mb - even files which i know are only 100kb in size.

Also sometimes in finder its listing the folders on the nas but when I go into them they are empty, even though  I know there are files in there.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

Yeah I notice the same problem you are describing.  It's VERY annoying.  Looks like DLink didn't do much testing with us Mac users.

Can you please provide the make and model of the hard drives in your DNS-320?

@mrblobby: that's because you access the drive through SMB.
If you use AFP it works fine. (Go to -> connect to server-> afp:\\ip-of-your-DNS-320)
