is receiving de-auth because it's not authenticating with router. check to see if it supports the encryption that is currently implimented in the router. get rid of encryption all together and see if you see de-auth messages. If not, then its encryption incompatabilities.
If router is set to use wpa2-AES make sure that your adapter on your lappy also support wpa2-AES. If your using the windows Wireless Zero with no 3rd party client software, make sure you have Service Pack 2 installed.
Also, make sure that you dont have two wlan adapters? both enabled, with one connected propely and the other not configured properly. Sounds silly, but it's what I have now. I have built in g on my laptop, and using wireless a/n card. If my built in one is switch on, it's going to attempt to connect to the network using old settings.

You may also want to make sure that in the router, you are not filtering mac addresses.
