825 & Windows Home Server
« on: February 01, 2009, 06:09:43 PM »

Just bought new 825 to replace my 625 but have had to stop as the unit doesn't auto configure with Windows Home Server.  I cannot reach the machine from the outside world.

I get an X beside:

X Verifying that your router is accepting Web site connections

X Verifying that your router is accepting Remote Access Connections

I have tried the following:

Put the Server in the DMZ (and out)

Virtual Server on ports 80, 443, 4125

Port Forwarding on the same ports

It also never opened the ports for Utorrent for what that is worth. Tried letting uPnP and manually forwarding the ports.

Have gone back to the 625 and all is well for now and I cannot see any substantial differences between settings between the two routers.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

BTW - It is firmware 1.01 and tells me there is no update available.

Thanks
Shawn
