New mac & D-Link user here (but have a good record track win Win & Unix systems).
Since I want to use the USB shareport functionality of the router, I installed the Beta firmware last night. No problems for any Wi-Fi related stuff. The shareport utility is working fin Win my WinPC machine, I can see the rinter and the HardDrive when they are connected to the router.
However, the Mac is another story. Let start by saying that I'm running Leopard (OS X 10.5.6) on a MacBook.
I could not find a way to open a port on the Mac firewall to allow traffic from/to the shareport utility. So I disabled the firewall. Once the firewall is down, I can see the router on the shareport utility, but every time I want to connect (the HD or the printer) I have an error message saying that Shareport could not connect it.
So I connected the HD and printer directly to the mac to make sure they are OK with the mac, everything is perfect! Put them back onto the USB port of the router... no avail, same error. So I think there are still some work to do on the Shareport utility for Mac.
I'm wondering if I miss something...
Is anyone here successfully connected something from their mac machine using the shareport utility?
