This is STRICTLY my opinion.... But not being a hard core gamer, I haven't seen the logic in buying one of these super hyped gaming NICs.... You are functionally limited by several factors such as the Ethernet standards as set by the IEEE.... 802.11 and such.... Not to mention that Windows 7 RWIN setting is not changeable as it was in XP....
The DIR-655 already comes with four GigaBit wired ports and .11N wireless at 300Mbps MAX.....
If you are using good ethernet cables and a GigaBit NIC (or two) on your motherboard.... then why spend the extra money on something that is inherently confined by extremely well establish industry standards....
Its kind of like choosing to run Premium gas in a card that runs perfectly well on regular gas....
What does that Gaming Adapter offer for its cash outlay that surpasses normal GigaBit cards ?
Just curious...am Not a hater....
