SSL / TLS FTP problems
« on: August 22, 2011, 06:20:56 AM »

Hi everyone,

Hopefully one of you will be able to point out what I'm doing wrong.

I have a DNS-320 box connected to my d-link DSL-2640R router ports 20 - 21 forwarded and I am able to access via FTP from my HTC desire S.  Upload, download everything I want, however it's not secure.  I can use any combination of username and password and it lets me add and delete whatever I want.  This is obviously not the way to go so I've now enable the allow SSL / TLS option on the FTP server.  I'm now unable to connect to my NAS from my HTC and I've been unable to try and access from a remote PC.

I'm using two apps to attempt access.  One is ES File Explorer which states the network path is not found and the other is andFTP which authenticates TLS but doesn't show me any of the shares on the device.

Does anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance
