Poor performance DIR-855
« on: August 27, 2011, 08:55:12 AM »

Hi. I have recently bought the DIR-855 and has set it up with a D-Link DAP-1522 Wireless N DualBand Access Point at the 5Ghz band (other equipment using the 2.4 GHz band).

The DIR-855 and DAP-1522 are placed 10 meters apart, and there is almost line of sight between them (no walls, only open door).

At the best i get 70 % signal, but the rate is very unstable, all from 6 Mbps to 120 Mbps.

To be honest I expected more from this equipment.

Is there anything I can do in setup to make in better?

Would you post this thread in the DIR-855 forum so we can better help you? There is a forum specifically for the 855 and there is one for the DAP too.
