« Reply #285 on: February 08, 2012, 05:15:11 AM »

Ability to set the 320 as the master browser on the network, like the synology drives can, with a simple check box in a network setting (change smb.conf with "local master = yes", and add "preferred master = yes", "domain master = yes")

Changing these manually doesn't work as i cant seem to find away to restart the samba service to use the new config file, and upon reboot the changes revert to default options

Added...  ;)

No word from D-Link yet. Historically, D-Link has not provided much (if any) advanced notice of future firmware releases.  ???

There is a problem with large files (larger than 2 Gb) and AjaxExplorer (more details HERE).
If they would update the AjaxExplorer, this problem would probably be fixed (and a few more :) )

Hello - May I know whether any plan to have DNS320 and DNS323 to be Personal Cloud Storage ability by firmware upgrade, please? I have 2 DNS320 and 1 DNS323 at home - it would another expense if I need to buy another DLINK for just Personal Cloud Storage feature? DLINK term is "MyDlinkCloud"...
Thanks for advice.

I believe that you should give some priority to:

•UPnP - Add Subtitle (*.srt) support for media files in "UPNP AV SERVER"

There are people in this forum (like myself) who paid 1.000 euro or more to buy a new TV to stream movies and it turns out that the Dlink box doesn't support subtitles!!!

Unacceptable.... Please give some priority - i already lost a hell lot of time, because i thought that it was the TV that had the issue... please.

Although I'm sure some requests are more important than others, it would be unfair to prioritize any requests as each entry is equally important to the member (or members) who originally added the item.

Although I'm sure some requests are more important than others, it would be unfair to prioritize any requests as each entry is equally important to the member (or members) who originally added the item.

so, you believe the a change requested by 1 person has the same priority as a change requested by 2-3 or more?

I don't agree.

Also i believe that this should be considered more like a "bug" not a request.

If you setup a free uPnp server on your laptop subtitles appear fine on the TV, but when you use the dlink (that claims to support uPnp) it doesn't? - this is what you buy this for, not to have your laptop/pc running al the time....

Many requests on this list were raised in this (and other) threads by as many as 2 to 10+ members. Since I don't have access to a complete (and accurate) list tying the number of individuals to each request, I left this list in alphanumeric order.

I will relabel the aforementioned item as a "bug" if you think it will garner more attention.

The following DNS-320 Firmware Wishlist contains the collective contribution of the DNS-320 D-Link forum community. If you would like to contribute to this list, please post your suggestions as a reply to this thread.

Below is a summary of everyone's input thus far. Please let me know if I over-generalized, misrepresented, or missed anyone's concerns and I'll refresh the list with updates. Recent items are highlighted in blue. Items fixed in the latest firmware update are striked out.
