pptp client as default remote gateway for the internet.
« on: September 30, 2011, 06:18:34 AM »

Hi,
Is it possible to setup remote gateway of pptp client as default one for internet connections?
So the traffic will go through our main office gateway? (something what you can setup in windows pptp client configuration)
We have branch office which connect to our LAN in main office via pptp client and it works.
However users are visible on the internet via WAN provider and not as our main office address.
We need them to be visible on the internet with our IP otherwise they are not able to access some services.
Please let us know if it is possible to setup this gateway as the main one, or which other rules has to be setup.

Thanks
Julek

I guess you have two DFL in your offices

In branch office
1)
a) If you have auto-created routing to PPTP client (main office network), change remote network to all-nets
b) If you created routes by manually, create new one - all-nets to pptp client
2) Add IP rule
Allow lan/lannet pptp_client/all-nets all_services

In main office
Add IP rule
NAT pptp_server/branch_net wan/all-nets all_services
