Missing ALG Settings
« on: November 01, 2011, 08:06:04 PM »

As seen from the pic below, I have DIR-655 with hardware revision B1
and firmware version 2.0. The printed, online, and in router manual says that
there should be ALG section at the bottom, but as you can see there is nothing there.

What happens? Is there any setting that makes the ALG section hidden?

ALG was added back in under 2.01NA.

I think I'm out of luck, there is not even a firmware version higher than 1.35 listed
for South East Asian market. Example: www.dlink.co.id/support/support_detail.asp?idProduct=21

D-Link.

I am disappointed.

Just because the options to turn them off and off are missing, doesn't mean they don't have those gateway functions. Probably just means their on always. Considering their on by default, and there are very few reasons to turn them off, I can see why they never added it. Check your routers Datasheet, if it's listed there, it has it. why, is one of those functions not working for you?

Well I guess it would have help to know what part of the world you are in. The version I referred to is for North America. I would call up your regions Dlink support office and see if they can provide you with any information. Like Harry said though, the functions, could be there and ON by default, just the UI isn't showing. You could see if they are hidden by changing the STYLE of your web browser to Admin or OFF. Then go to the routers web page and look to see if you see anything of the ALG options.

In case anyone still looking for answer, in 19 June 2012 D-Link released a new firmware for revision B1 hardware: firmware version 2.05. Here is the link: http://www.dlink.co.id/support/support_detail.asp?idProduct=21
