Dynamic IP Addresses
« on: November 06, 2011, 02:57:18 PM »

I am using the default for the DHCP settings which is 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.199.  The weird thing is that it starts with the high range and goes toward the low range.  I am assuming I just switch them around if I want it the other way, but I thought I would check anyway.

I don't know. I would think not because of the programming done behind the scenes. I would say save your config file and just try it. Just curious though, why does it matter?

Mine also did the same thing. I have 5 devices connected...some wired, some wireless..but all at the high end of the Ip address. I guess its fine...just different than what I'm used to seeing.

I've noticed this on several other Dlink routers, it's probably there way of handing out IPs using Dynamic. I prefer using reserved IPs on the router for ALL devices.
