« on: November 09, 2011, 03:15:20 PM »

Hi, is it a way in the configuration to remove the admin administration right over the internet. I want full control only on my machine? And user only over the internet
Thanks

Hi,
As far as I can see, if you login remotely over the internet with any account other than "admin" account, the administration part is not visible, just the applications. But I guess you mean to completely disallowing logging over internet using the "admin" account, for which i didn't find any option...

Another missing features (for me) is "disallowing" http access and requiring https/ssl encrypted access only (similar to FTP Server "Allow SSL/TLS connection only") and being able to give permission/hide "add-ons" to users/groups, instead allowing everyone to see/access them.

Just forwarding port 443 will solve this issue, not?

It will allow https, it will not require https.

But you just made me realise I could just prevent port forwarding on 80, and allow 443 only. Haven't tried it yet, but it should work.

I'm thinking  about the situation were I want to give other users remote access to my NAS, and force them to logon via encrypted channel only.

Thanks.

No problem, I wanted to tell this, only forwarding on 443.

I have this configuration and nobody can get http acces on 80 through Internet.
