Blocking PS3
« on: December 06, 2011, 07:33:15 PM »

Can anyone provide step by step instructions (or point me to some for the DIR-655) on how to block a PS3 from accessing this router?  I know how to log into the router's page and I can get the MAC address of the PS3, but I am clueless from there.  I want to block it completely is possible.

Need to set up a Reserved IP address for the PS.
Then set up a schedule. Specify all day I think.
Then set up Access Control under Advanced/Access Control using the reserved IP address for the PS and select the schedule you created.

Where do I find the option to set up a reserved IP address after logging into the router?

Okay.  I got it added to the DHCP Reservations List.  There is an enable box checked.  Are there settings for this now?

It should have a chech mark next to it if you selected Add and it should be enabled now.

Now set up a schedule. Specify all day I think.
Then set up Access Control under Advanced/Access Control using the reserved IP address for the PS and select the schedule you created. Choose to Block ALL
