DNS-323 FW 1.10 Reconfigure to RAID1 problem
« on: January 15, 2012, 05:36:30 AM »

Reconfigure to RAID 1 check box option is visible
but I am not able to activate it

Tried with Firefox 9.0.1 and IE 9 but both the check box does not get my action to
become marked

What is wrong, what do I do wrong?

Thanks for your help, Guys

What size drives do you have - if the second drive is smaller than the original it will not let you create a RAID1 array.

It may be necessary to back up the data on the first drive (which is a VERY good idea any way you do it) and then format both drives.

Last but not least - RAID1 is not a substitute for regular backups.

RAID1 is for disk redundancy - NOT data backup - don't confuse the two.

the first drive is 500GB, the second is larger = 1TB (all values nominal before EXT4 formating).

I do backups. but why is it no possible to check the box?

its designed in to check at this point in the GUI, so what is the reason that it is not possible
to mark. no info as usual in the current manual.

does anyone has the same problem?

@fordem. thks for your post.
