If for some reason the shortcut doesn't work, you can always pull the source code using Internet Explorer

IE doesn't work either. This is what happens when I open the link.

BTW, "View Page Source" works on other websites, just not the camera feed (?)

Your last post explained why this isn't working. You were trying to open the source code to the direct video feed page (http://[camera_ip_address]/mjpeg.cgi), which is not possible since the entire page is persistently refreshing.

Log into the DCS-932L web interface:

  • Open a browser and enter the address http://[CAMERA_IP_ADDRESS/
  • Enter the username and password
  • Click on the LIVE VIDEO tab
  • Check the Java radio button and the live video should start
  • Right click your mouse anywhere on the web page (except the live video pane) and select View Page Source

The whole idea behind this was to build a webpage I could view with my iPhone 4S (versus using D-Link)

Guess what - the iPhone doesn't support Java  :'( :'( :'(

Unless there's a tenable workaround, the easiest solution is mydlink Lite for iPhone

I studied this post. It seems like it should work but no luck here either. I want to do the same thing use the stream for webpages and streaming video.

Verizon want to give me a business so I can get a static ip address from them, do I need to do that. However I set it up thought dlink software no luck. ustream and click2stream still does not recognize any address i give them. Please advise. Thank you kindly.

The urls for video are as follows:

ActiveX:
http://[DEVICE IP ADDRESS]/aview.htm

Java:
http://[DEVICE IP ADDRESS]/aview.htm

If you are using Firefox, Safari*, or Opera, you can even put the username and password in the URL by adding it at the beginning of the address, just like you would an FTP site:

Example (for Java, with "192.168.1.100" as an example IP address of the device):
http://username:password@192.168.1.100/jview.htm

*If you're using iOS, please see the note below about Java on iPhone/iPad

But you can only use the java version for these browsers. This capability has been disabled in Internet Explorer and Chrome for security reasons, however, there is a workaround for IE. Here's the link for the workaround -> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/834489

For the iPhone/iPad, you will need Cloud Browse, or one of the Virtual Browser packages. They are $4.99. They will work, but the former is kinda crappy and only gives you the ability to browse for a period of time, and the latter option is a little buggy.

You have two other options, but neither is great. The first is to pull up the address on a computer, and Remotely connect to it using either an RDP or VNC app on your iPad/iPhone. With the video quality and framerate, you'll be surprised how faithful the representation is. The second option is to use CamViewer app, but the audio almost never works (once or twice it did, but I have not been able to find a rhyme or reason to how the heck it worked those times... DLink doesn't appear to have a compatible API).

Hope this helps.

To get the site to work on your iPhone/iPad, you will have to use Frash

Thank you. It still does not work. Ustream and click2stream still does not see it.

You can access the raw stream using http://[IP_ADDRESS]/mjpeg.cgi
Please see the following sticky post for two solutions for incorporating DCS-932L streaming video in a  personal website: DCS-932L - Display Live Video on a Personal Website

To directly access the video stream, use the following address: http://[camera_ip_address]/mjpeg.cgi

I recall this didn't work for me. The particular Java plug-in plays a role I think.
