just called AOL and they couldnt help me.  They said if there is a problem with the internet service or the modem they could help me. they told me to talk to someone at D link.  I knew AOL wouldnt be able to help me.  And I was speaking to a female  figures  I dont even think she knows much.  She asked me if my modem works when its connected to my computer and not the router and i told her that it does.  So I dont know what to do now.

from what i looked up about my modem i think its a modem/router.  so could that be the problem?  when im just connected to the internet by the modem/router i dont have a wireless network.  my modem is a gnet model BB2060-Xl  which only lets me connect to high speed internet so I got the dlink router so I could connect two computers to the high speed internet and also have my wireless netbook connect to the internet.

You can find out, if the 655 is hooked up, what os tue wan ip address it gets under status/device info? If 192.168 number, this means the modem has a router built in.

See if you can connect the Router to the aol modem and if you can get connected, run the teamviewer program and send me a PM message with the ID and PW.
