Issues with volumes on my D-Link DNS-320
« on: March 30, 2012, 03:47:50 PM »

Okay,

I have had this unit installed and working fine for over a year now.

I recently packaged the device up and stored it as was doing some decorating.

Now finished, I unpacked all the kit and set it back up again.

When I set the NAS up initially, I used 2 x 2TB drives and setup 2 volumes (1&2), when I connect up the power and see it on my MAC, only Volume 1 is visible.

I have swapped the drives over so the left one is noes in the right hand bay and vice versa, no change other than the contents of volume 1 now appear as volume 2....if that makes sense?

So, what I need assistance with is seeing how I can get Volume 2 to appear again as it has some important data on that I need for work.

I did buy an external 3.5" hard disk case but I guess that won't work as the drives were formatted upon putting them in the DNS-320.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks
