Powerline AV Utility

Have just purchased twin pack starter kit. All working well and getting different speeds at different power outlets around the house as expected. I have installed twice the Powerline AV Utility on our desktop computer. When I run the software I get the error message "The Powerline device was not detected. Please check your computer cables." However the Powerline AV kit is working on the desktop computer and I have home network and internet access. Any ideas?

You need to connect directly from your PC to the device; the utility will not connect to the powerline device across the network.
