Don't worry about the nay-sayers who see it as an inconvenience, I don't want 'bots trying to crack the password on my router, and this is a good step against that. The router's the heart of my net, and I don't want it exposed.
Oh, a point that might not be obvious to the casual user, the CAPTCHA is not case sensitive.
