question about usb port on router
« on: September 28, 2012, 04:51:02 AM »

Does anybody know the maximum current that the usb port on the router can provide? I'm thinking about powering my Raspberry Pi from it.

I don't think the port provides any sort of power supply, if it is, it's very low. It's only for data on the bus.

I use mine to power a Targus laptop cooler.  I am pretty sure the USB specs say that there is a 5 volt power on the USB port.
