Two 360's
« on: October 05, 2012, 01:18:58 PM »

So I have my network setup to use multiple devices, 1 ps3, two xboxes, 2 desktops, 2 laptops etc.

The only issue I have been running into is when I'm playing online when both xboxes are online.

My rules were setup accordingly to the Sticky for Xbox Live.

My setup is a bit crazy too, I have the Cisco DPC3825 from Shaw which I've setup as a fake bridge and then the rest of my devices are hooked up through the Router.

Seems to happen most often with Capcom Games.

EDIT: Forgot to mention Im on 1.22NA

What seems to happen when your playing online with both Xboxes?

DGL-4500 Gaming and Gamefuel for XBL

Well basically one of us gets booted off Xbox live while the other one stays online.

It seems to be whoever starts up their Xbox first stays online forever while the other one gets booted off at any point.

Not really sure if its my modem though and I doubt its the 4500 because its been setup properly but I'll probably review the settings again.

As for the Xboxes one of them is the newer Slim version, older on is the 360 Elite.

Can you post a screen shot of how exactly you have the GF rules set up?  I have two Xbox's, one an older white one and one a newer slim with no connections issues.  What do you have your uplink speed set too, manual or auto?

I would run shaper probe and enter the the results for upload speed into the GF rules.

Make sure you are not using Gaming rules. Thats for only (1) device. For more than one console you do need to use GameFuel.

Maybe someone can review your router settings with you using Link> teamviewer if your interested. Its safe and secure.

My Uplink is manual set to 3 Mbps which is the max my ISP allows.

As for the rules they are setup as per sticky, the only gaming rules I use is for my own PC.

I'm not too sure if its my modem or not but its the stupid Cisco DPC3825 which I've turned into a fake bridge as it cannot get me Open NATs for two 360s but if my 4500 acts as the router I can get Open NATs easily.

Glad the 4500 is working and getting you OPEN NAT.

Do you think the lease time could be related?  Its set to 1440 on my 4500 and the same on my DPC3825.

I would set manual uplink to 4096 so you have head room.

least time is only for the WAN side IP addressing it gets from the ISP modem or services.
You need to set up the muiti xbox GF rule for 2 or more xboxes.

The rules are already setup as per Stick that was here before but is now moved to that epic FAQ library.

I've turned back on a few things in my Router Logs to double check if its something else.

It should work well for multiple xboxes if your using the multiple xbox rule seen in the sticky. Not sure about that Cisco modem though. Keep us posted.
