Same issue on upgrade to 2.10NA.

One of my customers upgraded for no reason and found no issue.  So I felt need to upgrade, with hopeful fix of IOS6.

My guest network was bouncing unreliable.

So I backed out to 2.07 and everything was working for a few days.

However, recently encrypted connections are being dropped VPN/https.  Nothing in the status logs about it.

I just reloaded my config.bin from prior to upgrade in the hopes it fixes the issue.  I found no difference in the configuration settings: 2.07, 2.10NA and now 2.07.

Do we have a fix date for the 2.10NA software?

Did you do a factory reset before and after downgrading and then set up the router from scratch?

No date yet.

Get it here:
DIR-655 Rev B v2.10NA

Let us know how it works for you.

Please try, test and use the router out of the box with the version that comes loaded on it first. All routers are tested before leaving the Mfr and do work well out of the box. There many external conditions or configurations that should be reviewed first if problems are found before considering updating FW. Come to the D-Link Forums and get help before upgrading firmware.

Some Issue connecting via PPPoE with IPv6.  Connecting, but the router rebooting after 1 minute. My connection is through PPPoE IPv6 (Dual Stack). I did restore factory settings. For the moment i made downgrade to 2.03NA. Thenx

Does v2.03 work for PPPoE IPv6?
Does the PPPoE IPv4 exhibit this condition?

I put my 655 back on-line last night. Loaded v2.10NA on it and it's up and running. My ISP doesn't support IPv6 currently do I can't test that out, yet. Manual DNS address entries are used and DNS Relay is OFF. All devices are Reserved IP addresses, NAT is Endpoint Independent. SPI, Traffic Shaping and QoS is ON. Automatic Uplink is manually set for 2048 for my ISP. Dynamic De-fragmentation, WISH, WPS, and Short GI is OFF. WAN Link speed is set to 1000Mb since my ISP Modem supports it. If someone wants me to check and verify something, let me know, Other than IPv6 and Guest Zone.

Does v2.03 work for PPPoE IPv6?
Does the PPPoE IPv4 exhibit this condition?

Hy, with 2.03NA not working IPv6 (Dual Stack)
 2.10NA is stable with IPv4.

Yes, and 2.07NA exhibit the same thing.
Repeat, 2.10NA connect to IPv6 (Dual Stack) but restart after 1 minute. (PPPoE Connection ,Share with IPv4 coonection mode- restart 1 minute, and "Create new Connection IPv6  " - exhibit the same thing)

Does your ISP Service and ISP Modem support IPv6 via PPPoE? I wonder if maybe you should see if DHCP works instead. No sure if it would help.

If your looking to use IPv6 and if everything is set up and supported on the ISP side and the DIR-655 isn't working, I recommend you phone contact DLink support, level 2 or higher.

Keep us posted.

Yes my ISP support IPv6() PPPoE, My connection Type is through FTTB (GPON). Directly on WINDOWS 7 work well. through DIR-655 2.10NA work for 1 minute :(  after rebooting. I attempted v2.06WW  from ftp.dlink.biz  exhibit the same thing.

I tested my connection type on DIR-825 and work great!

(Dual-stack (or native dual-stack) refers to side-by-side implementation of IPv4 and IPv6. That is, both protocols run on the same network infrastructure, and there's no need to encapsulate IPv6 inside IPv4 (using tunneling) or vice-versa) - sorry for explain.

Thanks for the extra info. I wish we could get other users to do the same thing. LOL.

Well seems like you've pretty much narrowed this down. I recommend that you phone contact DLink support, level 3 I would say. This needs to be addressed by DLink themselves.

Please let us know what the say.

So wanted to see what the wireless file xfer speeds between 2 clients where on the same network.
Using a Mac Book Pro with OSX 10.6.8 connected wirelessly @ 130Mb on 2.4Ghz Single Mode N using WPA2 and AES only Auto20/40Mhz, Same room 5ft from router to the DIR-655 B1 using v2.10 FW and xfering a 1.27Gb file from a Wired LAN PC loaded with Windows 7x64:
Download from Server to Mac: 4.5-6.5Mb taking 5 minutes.
Upload from Mac to Server: A more steady 5.9-6Mb taking 4.5 minutes.

I presume Windows should be near or close to these same values reported depending on PC, What all is loaded and WiFi device driver and configurations.

I just wanted to let you know that after I switched to 2.10NA I had problem with the internet. I would try to go to a web page and receive 'Cannot access web page'. After you hit the diagnostic tab it would do its check and come back as everything is fine. Then you could access the web page. I was having problems on all the PC's and laptops in the house. The computers are running Win 7 x64, Vista x64, Win 8 Pro x64, Ubuntu x86, and Mint Cinnamon x64.

After switching to 2.10NA, the iPad would finally stay connected to the router. But my daughters started having problems with their iPhone 4S staying connected. I tried switching to 2.10NA because the iPad would never stay connected. Sometimes it would stay connected for a couple minutes and at other times a couple sec. I was running 2.00 firmware before.

I just switched back to 2.07NA to give it a try because I found this forum.  If I should experience any more problems I will leave some feedback.

When you attempted to updated FW, was this process followed?
FW Update Process

Link>Wireless Installation Considerations
What wireless modes are you using? Under Setup/Wireless/Manual.
Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N?
Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.
Try setting a manual channel to a open or unused channel. 1, 6 or 11. 11 for single mode N if the channel is clear.
What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only or Auto. My iPhone 4S's work well on AES only.
What wireless devices do you have connected?
Any cordless house phones?
Any other WiFi routers in the area? Link> Use InSSIDer to find out. How many?
Turn off WISH, and WPS under Advanced.
Try turning off Short GI, WLAN Partition, and Extra Wireless Protection if you have it. Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.
Enable WMM Enable Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.

Firmware 2.10NA
« Reply #29 on: January 30, 2013, 08:11:29 AM »

Hi there!
Recently updated to 2.10NA Rev.B.
Have been seeing a lot of problems.  I'm having major internet slows, 10-15 second disconnects etc.
At first I thought it was the provider so I bypassed the router and used the crappy Cable modem directly and had no issues.

Did A FULL Factory reset, wipe clean, re-configured and still seeing major intermittent issues:

The issues are around: Dropped packets and the /rootDesc.xml not found, responding ERROR 404
The IPV6 is enabled Local only.
I disabled Advanced DNS
I even set the UDP and TCP firewall settings to Endpoint independent (very uncomfortable with this but desperate).
QoS is disabled.

There are about 30-40 dropped packets when I notice slow downs (skype calls especially).
