Hi,
I am using DCS-932L Day/Night Cloud Camera which works good expects from I can't see the picture with the grid in the Motion Detection.
I got en error NoClassDefFoundError (aplug$SI). I am using the latest Java-version from www.java.com.
My OS i Windows 7 and I have tried with several webreaders and with two computers.

Thankful for any help / Ingvar

Hi again.

Windows is 64 bits but my webreaders and Java are 32 bits.

I didn't write that I am trying to connect the camera via Internet. All other camera functions works well.

The connection between the camera and Internet is via a router and I am also using a router in my home network.

I've contacted the support regarding this issue. After the usual "reinstall-drivers-test-another-computer-reinstall-windows-buy-a-new-computer"-crap they made some research and came to the conclusion that motion detect setup only works when you are on the same network as the cameras. This means that you can't setup motion detect using myDlink.

Yes, I agree, it is unbelievable. However, it seems to be true, at least for me. If I'm on the same network as the cameras, motion detect works. If I'm using myDlink I get ClassNotFoundException.

It didn't make sense that a network issue would cause a programming error. Did some digging and seems its because IP is hardcoded into the java. See here for technical details

So with that said some suggestions and some far fetch possibilties.
1. Have you tried changing the camera display to ActiveX instead of Java?
2. What happens if you set a proxy on your java client? Start > Control Panel > Java (client your using) > General tab > Network Settings > Use Proxy server > Public IP address port 80. Then it will route the request through your router.
3. Greasemonkey script? I haven't played around with it in a while but I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to amend it.

In my opinion, if you buy a product with remote control, it should work using remote control without the need to change a lot of settings on you own.

Well I agree, but it doesn't, and thus why your hear.  8)

Looks like a glitch with the App. The external IP is hardcoded into it. Will just have to wait for a update.

Do you mean that this problem can't be solved as of today?

I even tried to contact support in a different region than mine. After a lot of "No picture? Did you connect the power cord"-answers the dlink support suggested that I should contact my computer vendor or Microsoft (!) to help me install java correctly. May I point out that there is no problem whatsoever with other products using java. >:(

I've noted that this topic in the DCS-930L forum is one of the most viewed subjects, so I guess this IS a problem for a lot of people, but dlink support seems to be unaware of it ...?

In a word? No. Not without a update to the App. And if I had to guess..I think the App was made by 3rd party? Most are these days. I don't mean to be blunt, just trying to be realistic. Im sure someone could make a grease monkey script that would make it work, but I don't have the time. Sorry.
