network security
« on: January 27, 2013, 10:10:02 AM »

when I originally purchased the router, i was running Vista. My new PC runs 7 home premium. the router ran fine with the new PC, but recently had to reboot the router and the security function went away, now my router is accessible to the public.
I tried to reinstall the provided software, but it's not compatible with W7 home premium. How can I lock my router?
I've tried everything I can see in the router page online, including adding admin and user passwords, but the "wifi protected setup" still says disabled.

HELP!!!??

Open browser, type 192.168.0.1 into the address bar. Leave password blank and press enter. The rest can be seen in this video.

Wifi protected setup is for adding wireless computers to your network after the fact. Mostly anyway.

What would be security on your PC,  not the router.
