Did you perform a factory reset before and after sending the FW update using IE? And did you configure the router from scratch afterwards?

What site did you get v2.09WW from?

Nope, I didn't perform factory reset. I usually update FW using Firefox.
I've restored my settings from previously saved configuration file.

The URL i get FW from is http://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DIR-825/Firmware/

Thanks for concerning.

I recommend doing a factory reset before and after sending the FW file then set up from scratch.

Lets us know how this work and if it helps...

Did as you suggested. All was fine, i was hoping it finally worked, until I started to use Skype, that's when the packets began to disappear again :(. There are 3 packets in a row. Enough to lose connection with the battle.net :(. I've done a small investigation: started the ping command during the game with the Skype call and without - during the Skype calls connection was usually dropping.

Settings are still the same:

QoS and all it's options is OFF.
SPI is OFF
Plug and Play is OFF
Firewall set in Endpoint Independent for both options.
IPv4 Multicast Streams is ON

Is there any additional care i can apply to my router ? Maybe some monitoring on my side could help you to find a reason?

Thanks for collaboration.

You need to turn on uPnP. This should help.

Maybe someone can review your router settings with you using Link> teamviewer if your interested. Its safe and secure.

Greetings! Same problem as everyone else.

Updated to 2.09 revB1
ISP: Delta Cable
Modem: ISP provided Motorola unit
Speed: 20Mbits

Tried all the settings you and the others posted.

But still have downloads randomly dropping and skype calls d/cing.

Really should have stuck with 2.05 xD

EDIT: Tried checking the router log while downloading this shows up when it fails:

Blocked incoming TCP SynAck packet from 198.47.108.10:443 to 24.207.49.194:65360 with unexpected sequence

Any thoughts?

Did you do a factory reset before and after the FW file was sent? Did this happen before updating FW? Was what was the reason for updating?

ISP: Delta Cable
What region are you located?
Modem: ISP provided Motorola unit
What is the model # of the modem? How old is it?
Speed: 20Mbits

Tried all the settings you and the others posted.

I would have your ISP physically check the cable going from out side into the ISP modem. Have them check the signal. Ensure that there are no t.v. line splitters on the line as these can intruduce noise or lower the signal going into the ISP modem.

Tried downgrading back to 2.05.

Everything seems to be working fine again.

Speeds are considerably slower than usual though.

Hmmm problems with d/cing have started to reoccur again. Now the router log is full of those blocking unexpected sequence errors.

@FurryNutz

Yes, factory resets were done before each upgrade/downgrade.

Region is Lower Mainland, BC, Canada.

Modem is a Motorola Surfboard SB5101. We've had it for several years now.

Have your ISP check lines and maybe get into a new modem. They have a SB 6 series thats really good.
The 825 I had works great on these modems.

Only reasons of disconnections like this would be ISP related.

Really? Read on some other forums that it could be a series of IP attacks from somewhere?

Even if it's attacks, thats still ISP related and they should be able to help block some of that, However if the router is reporting some or reporting issues of a disconnect or anything related, it's just doing what it's designed to do by logging it.

I would have your ISP physically check your Cable lines, check the signal going into the router and I recommend if you can buy your own modem, do it. The SB 6 series are good modems. I have tested 3 models.

Also remove any TV line splitters if present. These can reduce signal and introduce noise on the line.
